Drain Cleaning, Camera Inspection, Toilet Upgrade, and Sewer Replacement In Chelsea, Alabama
Original call from the homeowner was for a blocked toilet.
Upon arriving the homeowner had stated the drains in the home had never really flowed properly and they were constantly having to plunge the toilets. Our client had asked if upgrading to a better flushing toilet would resolve the issue. We explained to the homeowner that a toilet upgrade would help the issue but might not properly resolve the issue. We also explained we would need to remove the toilet to clear the drain. Since the toilet was being removed already now would be the perfect time for a toilet upgrade and a camera inspection.
Once the drain line was cleared using our sewer machine we inspected the drain with our camera. The camera revealed a separated sewer line outside the home near the septic tank. After locating the issue we dug up the sewer and replaced with new pipe and a proper 2 way cleanout to allow for proper drain cleaning. This will give an access point in either direction to clean the drain if needed.
We replaced and upgraded the toilet with a Gerber Avalanche Tall Height toilet and a couple of flushes later the issue that had been plaguing this home for years was resolved.
