Natural Gas Water Heater Replacement with $350 rebate from Spire
Existing water heater was on it's last leg and was no longer providing efficient hot water for the homeowner.
We installed a new Rheem Professional Series water heater. The existing shutoff valve for the water heater was upgraded to a new 1/4 turn ball valve. The old water heater never had a expansion tank.so we added one. Expansion tanks are the air bladder that will help absorb any expansion and take some of the strain off of the plumbing system. Expansion tanks have to be filled with air to match the incoming water pressure. After checking the incoming water pressure we notified the homeowner that it was almost double the recommended pressure of 75psi. They agreed and decided to get it replaced since we had the parts stocked on our work vehicle.
Client was very satisfied with our installation and even more excited to apply for the $350 rebate from the gas company.
